Halloween just isn’t Halloween if there isn’t some DIY’ing going on.
Speaking of which, I am going to have to figure out what the heck I am going to do about my youngest, Lylah’s costume this year.
First, she wants to be Rainbow dash, now it’s maybe Elsa, but with a much better wig…not the one that came with hers from last year that she DIDN’T WEAR!
So I will have to make some kind of ‘better wig’…
Anyhoo, back to DIY’ing. You should totally make these super easy potion bottles. Because you will feel so crafty!
I started with a bunch of these glass vitamin bottles because we have like 500 or so of them. I just have always felt like I should save them, so I did.
After cleaning them well, I used my trusty glue gun.
Yes, ladies and gentleman…This is the original. It’s like 13 years old. I got it at The Dollar Tree.
No one knows how it is still working, but I will be damned if I don’t use it to death.
So now add some gross ingredients.
Like Dried Monkey Brains or Crushed Beetles.
Then them a good painting. I used chalk paint, because I love it, in a light gray color.
I added a little bit (like a teeny little bitty drop) of black paint to some of your gray that you made, and a put a bit of emphasis on the lettering.
Finish them up with some corks to hold all your potions in.
I didn’t have any corks that would fit these and didn’t want to buy any, so I just cut them out of a cork board that was all junky.
Glue them on, I used the glue gun again.
Add some twine and add them to your extensive potion collection!
