If you know me, you may know a bit about my obsession.
Having the newest, most up to date gear and ability to use them, may be a slight understatement.
I literally engulf myself until I am at PRO level, at least in my mind, anyways.
Trade shows are like a playground for me because I can continue to stay medication-free with my ‘Tech OCD’ without many finical repercussions (Well, we will see how much I don’t spend this weekend and finalize that statement).
I also love to be able to ask in-depth questions to people who actually ‘play’ with this gear, instead of maybe touching it once or twice and then writing a review for the world.
These people are pretty much the experts, in my opinion, because they are the operators, not designers, and these devices are designed to operate by operators, not designers.
This lady will be leaving approximately 1-5hrs ahead of her originally scheduled time, because the Media/Press Pass told her to!
Yes! I will be learning new tech and taking names. I will be among the big leaguers, this tiny girl, with my mind recording and my smartphone a snappin’
So you are not familiar with this gdgt I speak of?
I snagged this intro off of the Event Page:
Unlike all the trade-shows and press-only events that don’t let consumers attend, Engadget+gdgt Live is designed specifically to bring gadget lovers and tech brands together in a fun environment where they can get to know each other a little better.
This is our 4th straight year at Showbox SoDo, but our first with Engadget on board. We joined forces following AOL’s acquisition of gdgt in February and the events have really taken off.
We’ll have a bunch of great tech companies with us at the event ready to show attendees their newest products and get real consumer feedback.
There’ll be tons of great swag and chances to win some awesome gear. To win you have to know how to enter, however, so read the flyer we give you at the door.
For all you ‘visual learners’ out there, here is a clip from gdgt NYC ’12 for your eye pleasure.
Will I see you there?
